Purpose
The instrument is designed and made as per the National Standard GB/T3536 “Test Methods for Flash Point and Fire Point of Petroleum Products (Cleveland Open Cup Methods), and T0651 “Asphalt Flash Point and Fire Point Test (Cleveland Open Cup Methods)” in the Industry Standard JTJ052 Specification and Test Methods of Bitumen and Bituminous Mixtures for Highway Engineering. It is used to determine flash point of petroleum products and bituminous materials, excepting fuel oil and materials having a flash point of lower than 79 ℃.
 
Adopt microprocessor techniques and equipped with advanced system software, it can control temperature, apply flame, ignite, detect flash point, and print out test data automatically. It has a 6 digits display. 4 digits for temperature display and the other 2 digits for time display.
 
Technical parameters
(I) Operation condition
1. Ambient temperature: 20±5℃;
2. Relative humidity: < 80%;
3. Power supply: AC 220V±10％, 50±1Hz;
(II) Temperature measurement
1. Measurement range: ambient temperature~350℃;
2. Test accuracy: 0.2%;
3. Resolution:  0.1℃;
4. Repeatability:
(1) Flash point is lower than 150 ℃: error is less than 4 ℃;
(2) Flash point is higher than 150 ℃: error is less than 6 ℃;
(III) Basic parameters:
1. Speed rising speed: as per GB/T 3536-83;
2. Ignition mode: By a gas flame (4 mm);
3. Total power consumption: not more than 400 W;
