The MORPHEUS E is an anaesthesia workstation for adults, children and new-born babies on trolley with four antistatic wheels (two with brakes); it is suitable for the administration of Oxygen - Air - Nitrous Oxide - Halothane - Enflurane - Isoflurane - Sevoflurane - Desflurane - Halocarbon 22.

The MORPHEUS anaesthesia workstation incorporates two drawers for accessories, two shelves and one work shelf; electronic gas mixing device O2/N2O/AIR with low flow resolution.
The unit includes:
-   Electronic ventilator with built-in 6.5" TFT colour graphic breathing monitor.
-   Heated closed/open valves group with 2.5 Kg. CO2 absorber.
-   Double interlock/selectatec support for 2 vaporizers.
-   Tracheal Venturi aspirator, oxygen therapy group and standard accessories for use.

VENTILATOR MODULE

The ventilator incorporates a 6.5” TFT colour monitor displaying the main graphic and numerical breathing parameters. The built-in monitor is complete of alarms, trends and display the 5 halogenated gases, O2, N2O, CO2, MAC (optional) with the automatic gas identification. The integrated monitor is also equipped with a serial output for the connection to an external remote 15” TFT monitor or to a PC in order to allow a better visualization of the breathing parameters.
MORPHEUS ventilator operates basing on pressure and volume principles. It is technically advanced and safe, user-friendly and intuitive, able to satisfy any anaesthetist s requirement. Among its functions, the system features the automatic compensation of dead space, the automatic calibration system of FIO2 transducer and the calculation of leakages in the pneumatic circuit.

Reading is made through an exclusive SIARE stérilizable flow sensor operating by magnetic induction and positioned inside the expiratory valve of the breathing system. This technological development allows to eliminate all management costs raising from continuous replacement off low sensors positioned directly on the patient s mouth and makes the device unique in its gender.

Electronic flowmeter module

This version is absolutely user-friendly and intuitive thanks to its ergonomic design and compactness. An absolute precision in fresh gas mixtures delivered to the patient is possible thanks to the internal pressure reducers granting pressures stability. The unit is available at 3 gas (O2-N2O-AIR) adjustable through accurate controlled regulators at digital reading. The standard accessories supplied with the electronic flowmeter box are:
-    display for reading of the total set gas mixture
-    Air/N2O selector
-   pneumatic selector for fresh gas deviation from the valves group to the auxiliary manual circuit
-   rapid by-pass button for O2 flow delivery
-   safety scaled mechanic column for total anaesthesia mixture
-   no. 4 acoustic alarms for control of Flowmeter gas deliveries
-    internal 12V back-up battery
-   no. 3 control gauges for O2-N2O-Air inlets
-   selectatec double group with Interlock system for rapid connection / disconnection of vaporizers.

BREATHING SYSTEM

The breathing system of Morpheus guarantees to the user an absolute flexibility and easy handling thanks to the noble construction materials employed. The valves group can be drawn-up and it s totally autoclavable at 121°C and all its parts are manually dismountable, with no need of special tools.
All Siare valves group are equipped with an automatic warming system avoiding humidity in the patient circuits and permit to deliver fresh gas to the patient at optimal temperatures.
The breathing system is made of:
-    Calibrated APL valve
-    Fresh gas collecting bag
-    Deviator to switch from Open to Semi Closed circuit and viceversa
-    O2 cell for reading of FiO2
-    Removable 2,5 kg soda lime canister
-    Manually inspectionable bellows jar
-    Safety valve for ambience air suction in case of fresh gas failure
-    Flow transducer inside the group located on the expiratory line.

AUXILIARY OUTLETS MODULE

The Morpheus is supplied with an auxiliary outlets module to optimize the
needs of anaesthetist in the operating room.
The group includes:
- a pre-calibrated Venturi type aspiration system with a 500 ml collection jar ratio calibrated with safety valve,
- an auxiliary oxygen delivery device pre-calibrated at 6 lt/min.

MORPHEUS CEILING VERSION

The MORPHEUS units are also available for pendant mounting through specific lifting systems to be applied on pendant and anaesthesia trolley. Siare proposes two different lifting systems on pendant:
The first is the SIARE exclusive system: a self carrying device with tilting compensation in relieving phase, applicable on Siare pendants only.
The second one is a universal device, applicable on all pendant units for anaesthesia available on the market.
